EarPlanes® Adult Pressure-Relief Earplugs
Flying should be exciting — not painful. EarPlanes® Adult are specially designed pressure-regulating earplugs that protect your ears from discomfort caused by rapid cabin pressure changes during take-off and landing.
To understand why EarPlanes work so well, it helps to know how your ears react in pressurised environments. As an aircraft ascends or descends, changes in cabin pressure place stress on the tympanic membrane (eardrum). This can overwhelm the Eustachian tubes — small passageways that connect the middle ear to the sinus cavity and are responsible for regulating pressure and draining fluid.
When the Eustachian tubes can’t equalise pressure efficiently, it leads to baro-challenge-induced Eustachian tube dysfunction, causing that familiar pain, pressure, and blocked feeling in the ears. This is why we instinctively yawn or swallow to try to “pop” our ears.
EarPlanes® are the simple, proven solution.
Trusted by navy pilots, flight attendants, and commercial pilots, EarPlanes help regulate pressure before it becomes painful. Each earplug contains a patented CeramX™ filter that gradually equalises air pressure between the aircraft cabin and the eardrum. By slowing the pressure change on the outside of the eardrum, EarPlanes reduce strain on the inner ear — delivering a noticeably more comfortable, pain-free flight. With over 45% of air travellers experiencing ear pain, EarPlanes offer peace of mind for frequent flyers, holidaymakers, and anyone with sensitive ears.

How to Use EarPlanes®
- Insert before take-off
Place EarPlanes snugly into your ears before the aircraft doors close or before take-off begins. - Wear during ascent
Keep EarPlanes in place as the plane climbs and cabin pressure changes. - Remove once cruising altitude is reached
You may remove them once pressure has stabilised, or leave them in if you prefer light noise reduction. - Re-insert before descent
Insert EarPlanes again before the plane begins its descent — usually when the seatbelt sign comes on. - Remove after landing
Once the aircraft has landed and cabin pressure normalises, gently remove the earplugs.
Care Instructions
- Reuse as recommended for multiple flights as long as the earplug does not have wax to inhibit air flow.
