Specially formulated silicone medical grade plaster which fades, flattens and shrinks scar damage.

How does it work?

Clearscar works by creating a seal around the scar, which in turn will cause your skin to perspire under the plaster. The moisture from the perspiration will react with the silicone of the plaster and the epidermis, helping to reduce and break down the collagen build-up (bulging scars such as keloid and hypertrophic scars are caused by an overproduction of collagen in response to skin trauma) and to regulate the production of Fibroblast (a fibrous cellular material that secretes collagen and contributes and supports other connective tissue, thus aiding skin in healing in a more woven fashion, instead of linear collagen growth, which causes the shiny appearance of scars.)

    Usage Tips:

Each sheet should be worn for as long as possible before replacing.

Gradual improvements may be seen in 4-8 weeks.

    Individual results will vary.

For best results wear sheeting continuously over a duration of 30 days.

In warm weather or during periods of physical activity where sweating may occur, the product should be cleansed more often to maintain optimal contact with the skin.

Avoid the use of creams or ointments as they may interfere with the performance of the product.

    Contraindications:

Do not use if allergic to silicone.

Keep out of reach of children and pets- choking hazard.

Do not place adhesive side on fabric or bedding as this will reduce adhesion.

Take special care of the sheeting to extend usage.

Do not use on wounds that have not healed.

    What are silicone gel sheets:

Clearscar silicone scar dressing is a soft, thin, reusable and self adhesive medical grade silicone. It is effective for the management of both existing, hypertrophic and keloid scars and as a prophylactic treatment on closed wounds to prevent hypertrophic or keloid scars from forming.

DO NOT USE ON OPEN WOUNDS.

What types of scarring can Clearscar be used on:

Cleascar is indicated for the use on hypotrophic and keloid scarring. It is also effective on scars and wounds caused by burns, surgery or minor skin injuries and caesarean sections.

The quicker the sheeting is applied once the wound has closed the better the results.

The scar/wound should be covered completely for effective reduction.

On older scars the Silicone gel sheeting may take a longer amount of time to yield results.

On facial scarring or wounds it is advisable to apply additional tape over the sheeting as excessive movement during sleep may dislodge the gel sheeting.
